2016 Christmas Offering
“you must each decide in your heart how much to give..And don’t give reluctantly or in response to
pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” II Corinthians 9:7
The Mission Committee has chosen to collect funds for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign as our Christmas Offering. The Campaign enables The Salvation Army to provide food, toys and clothing to members of our local community. (The latest figures show The Salvation Army has served over 6 million people during the Christmas season and helped more than 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide.)
The Red Kettle Campaign first started in San Francisco in 1891 and has traditionally been the Salvation Army’s most prominent fund-raiser.
If after prayer you are led to support this Christmas Offering, please use the envelope provided with your tithing envelopes or write “Salv. Army” on your monthly mission line on your tithing envelope. God Bless!
