A pastor’s wife in Beijing, China was martyred in April of this year! Ding Cuimei, wife of the Reverend Li Jiangong, was attempting to stop the government-ordered demolition of their Christian Church! Ding Cuimei was pushed into a ditch and buried alive by a bulldozer, as horrified congregants watched helplessly-a grim example of increasing persecution in China.
Thousands of churches across China have been destroyed in the past year, and dozens of Pastors have been arrested on trumped up charges of corruption.

A little more than 5 percent of China’s 1.4 billion people are believed to be Christians.
Pastors are being forced to meet weekly with local officials to explain their sermons. More than 2000 churches have been forced to remove crosses in the last year alone though most churches had operated with government permission for decades.
