“Jesus asked Simon (Peter), “Son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him (John 21:15).
The radical Islamic terrorist group Isis, has doubled in size in one year.
Though they have a goal to eliminate anyone who doesn’t agree with their theology, they especially target Christians with extra harsh destruction.
When Asad (a Christian in the Middle East) heard that Isis was approaching, all he could think of was getting his family to safety. He did not have time to pack anything-not even his most precious possession-his Bible. (From a report from “Open Doors”.)
Displacement camps are over-flowing with traumatized refugees. If Christians are placed in camps with Muslims, they are harassed, treated harshly, and in danger.
In spite of all of this, the United States government recently welcomed over 10,000 refugees from Syria, only SO or so were Christians! That’s less that 0.5%! Our government officials refuse to give favor to Christians-even though they are more in danger than others. “Political Correctness” you see. The current “religion” of American government today. I saw an interview on Fox Business Network of a U.S. Representative who has been attempting to get our government to do the right things but has hit a brick wall of opposition. (I do not recall his name or state, but was impressed with his concern).
We need to pray for the persecuted church, for America and our leaders. Be informed-give-pray!
